Teachers cannot simply pour information into the heads of learners.
Rather, learning is an active process in which students construct new understanding of the world around them through active exploration, experimenta- tion, discussion, and reflection. In short, people don’t get ideas; they make them.

Some posts from my reading of twitter today tell me one thing: Video on web has become a popular format to present information. Two examples: QWiki is interesting; it mashes up text/photo from wikipedia and additional photos from fotopedia into video and uses text-speech narration to provide the voice; an example of resource integration. From one of the tweets, I have also signed up Edmodo, a social learning tools for classroom, but not sure how I will use it yet.

All data on the cloud except the OS on a netbook?
——
Even more importantly, they don’t want to spend hours configuring their computers to work with every new piece of hardware, or have to worry about constant software updates.
Even configuration and personalization will be on the cloud?
——
It has been argued whether netbooks will increase the popularity of cloud computing. Now with Chrome OS in the picture, will there be any dynamics among Chrome OS, Netbook and Cloud Computing?
Not a 1-minute digest. Have not finished reading but I am truly tuned-in by the section End-User Innovation, which is about co-creation of value by users of Twitter.
If I go to grad school and invent a better mousetrap, … I can protect with a patent and capitalize on by selling my invention to consumers.
But if someone else figures out a way to use my mousetrap to replace his much more expensive washing machine, he’s created value as well.
Make it your Friday must-read :)
